Rules and Wave Starts:

Please help us have a safe event. Following a few simple rules will protect you from safety concerns and protect the trails from the impact of 1000+ feet. Wearing headphones is prohibited. Bicycles, dogs and baby joggers are prohibited. Only single file running/walking is allowed (unless passing). Please stay to your right at all times. Pass on your left. Volunteers wil be on the course reminding you to run single file. We are using wave starts again this year to limit trail jams. You'll be seeded in an appropriate wave after completing your online registration. You'll be called to the starting area by wave number on your bib. Our goal is to send waves of 50 every minute between 9:00am and 9:20am.

Have you ever finished a race after the awards ceremony and all of the good stuff was given away? We are thinking about you back-of-the-packers with an early start option at 7:30am for runners and walkers not interested in being officially timed or scored but still wanting to take part in the event. You'll have this option when you register online. Of course, your registration includes all fees and race benefits other than scoring and overall/age group awards.

Stay Hydrated! Be prepared for warm weather and high humidity. Pace yourself accordingly. Water will be available at the start and finish, as well as the aid station between miles three and four.

Forest Park Conservacy. Go Girl Trail Run is donating $2000 to The Forest Park Conservancy. The Forest Park Conservancy is a non-profit organization working to ensure that Forest Park is cared for today and in the future. You can help us support the park by becoming members of the conservancy. Membership starts at $35 and the sky is the limit. The second step is getting your hands dirty by volunteering at trail work parties. Visit www.forestparkconservancy.org or call 503-223-5449 to support the organization and/or learn more about volunteering.

Forest Park has more than 100 native species of plants and trees, more than 60 native species of mammals, more than 110 native species of birds, more than 70 miles of trails and firelanes and is less than 5 minutes from downtown Portland. The health of the nation's premier urban forest is in your hands.
