5 mile run/walk $35 (long sleeve Tshirt included) 10 mile run/walk $45 (long sleeve Tshirt included) Packet Pick up: Saturday 10-5 or Sunday before the race.Saturday, October 17, 2009 10-5pm @ Portland Running Company - West Linn OR Sunday, October 18, 2009 beginning at 7am @ Portland Running Company - West Linn Event Timeline: 7-8am: Park & Packet pick up, clothes drop 7:45am: Race Warm Up : Fit for Life 8am: Race start both 5 & 10 Mile run and walk 9:15am: 5 mile Awards Ceremony 10:15am: 10 mile Awards Ceremony 9:00-11:00am: Finishline Festivities: Music, Hot Oatmeal from Jamba Juice, Complimentary homeade soup & bread from Restaurant 503 and a free beer for those 21 and older. (Bring extra $ for your second beer!) Cool random prize drawings from shops in Central Village! Enjoy yummy home made soup and bread and a complimentary beer at Restaurant 503 after the race. Join us for this inaugural event that runs through the streets and trails of West Linn and Lake Oswego. Enjoy gorgeous views of the Willamette River as you challenge yourself to the mixed terrain of this new and exciting course. Expect tough climbs and fast decents on the trails and roads between West Linn and Lake Oswego. You can choose between the 5 mile course or go for broke and run the 10 mile course. Both courses are well supported, fun, and challenging.
The West Linn Wild is partnering with Three Rivers Land Concervancy in their efforts to complete the running and walking trail between Carriage Way and Lucher Farm on Rosemont Road. A portion of the proceeds from this race will go towards their amazing efforts. You may also purchase a brick that will be placed in the aread around the Kiosk on the new trail with your name, your company name, or honoring someone you love for only $100. Race will start on Hood Street between Portland Running Company and The Market of Choice.
Please park on the sidestreets in West Linn or at West Linn High School 1/4 mile from Portland Running Company and Central Village. Parking will also be available just North of the starting line at Bolton School. Parking volunteers will help direct you. All participants will receive a long sleeve cotton FINISHER'S Shirt after the event - t-shirt is included in entry fee. Event Photos:
